Otivo is doing something no one thought possible — providing quality personal financial advice online.
The challenge
Otivo (formerly Map My Plan) had all the ingredients to be a success — a unique and innovative product led by a terrific team. However, a dated name, overly complex communication and a less-than-polished visual approach were holding them back.
The brief
Otivo (formerly Map My Plan) were looking for a creative team to help them develop a new brand strategy, brand name, visual identity, tone of voice, website and a new simplified way of talking about their product.
Our approach
We kicked off the project with a series of workshops with their CEO and CTO to uncover their brand purpose. This acted as our ‘north star’ and helped us define all the subsequent strategic work that repositioned Otivo as a friendly and trusted alternative to traditional face-to-face advice.
Although not initially part of the original scope, we also helped them discover a new brand name. We then designed an exciting new brand identity that better matched their aspirations and elevated their brand into the same league as their prospective clients.
Once their brand strategy was defined, we developed a new tone of voice and a new visual identity that involved us creating hundreds of unique illustrations which we used to develop a new product and web site.
The result
In just twelve months, we delivered a new branding strategy, brand identity, tone of voice, visual language (including hundreds of icons of custom illustrations), stationery, business templates, advertising, and mobile-optimised websites and applications that repositioned Otivo as a trusted and viable service to their existing and future B2C and B2B clients.
This resulted in a staggering 833% increase in users and over 400% increase in revenue. No wonder Sue Viskovic (Managing Director at Elixir Consulting) recently described Otivo as a “game-changer”.
